Nonnah’s was a staple in the Vista for decades… the go-to for scrumptious desserts after dinner or a downtown performance or to pick up a custom cake on a special occasion. Nonnah’s moved about over the years, but managed to keep a presence on Gervais Street – until last year when it closed its doors for the last time…. only to emerge in Lexington on July 1, 2020! The The Haven Coffee House on Main Street transforms itself into Nonnah’s at The Haven from 6pm – midnight, Wednesdays through Saturdays (closed July 4)!
The ownership team of O’Hara’s Public House took over ownership of The Haven some months ago. They’ve been working with Maggie (original owner of Nonnah’s) on obtaining her dessert recipes and getting their bakery staff trained to re-create her most favorite cakes and confections! The time has come to open Nonnah’s again! In a post on Facebook prior to opening day: “Probably about 50 cakes in there at various stages of production – preparing for the big debut tomorrow night (July 1) at “Nonnah’s at the Haven”. “
The Haven Coffee House, long a favorite for breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks on Main Street in Lexington, will continue its traditions. Open Monday – Saturday from 7am – 5pm. They’ve recently reopened and have upgraded their WIFI speeds to accommodate guests! Bring your laptop!
