Folks in the Chapin area have been limited in places to just hang out and share a craft beer… Nothin’ against the Tipsy Toad, or Zorba’s or Pompeii Oven but it can get pretty crowded on the weekends at those indoor places. So two friends, Dillon and Connor, decided that the timing was right for a new place… and so the Lazy Creek Taphouse is now open!
The building that previously housed the Freedom Farm Hay & Seed store at 306 St. Peters Church Road is being re-fitted for the new taproom. They offer 12 – 16 taps and pour craft beer, ciders and wines. They also included a small retail store where customers can purchase 6 packs of craft beer and bottles of wine.
The large front porch features tables as well as a projector to show football games this season. The side yard has picnic tables, and games like Big Jenga, cornhole and horseshoes. Dogs on leashes are welcome in this area.
The Lazy Creek Taphouse collaborates with Food Trucks to serve hungry patrons, and they intend to have a rotation so different foods are offered throughout the week.
Live music will be offered as well. Trivia night, Teacher Appreciation Night and Military Appreciation Night are promotions that are in the works.
