Let’s face it. Your pooch doesn’t want to sit home while you’re out frolicking with your friends, now does s/he? Here is a list of dog-friendly places you can take Fido with you, when dining out or enjoying a pint:

Swamp Cabbage Brewing Company :: In the taproom and under the pergola, dogs are welcome! Serves limited food menu. Known for excellent handmade craft beers. Owners of this brewery love their pups and will make you and yours feel at home.

Publico Kitchen & Tap :: This spring, Publico in Five Points enlarged its patio area behind the restaurant into one cool, colorful spot. And your dog is not only welcome, s/he can order from their own menu! More here.

O’Hara’s back deck and patio

O’Hara’s Public House :: Lexington’s only Irish Pub has established itself as the go-to for great live music, awesome pub grub and the friendliest staff in town! Their expanded outdoor deck, behind the pub, is where you, Fido and friends can hang out and have fun.

Grill Marks :: Billed as the “Best Dog Patio in Town”, Grill Marks’ open seating (patio) faces onto Gervais Street in the Vista.

Yesterdays :: Outdoor tables on the sidewalk, where you can entertain your furry friend and get some good food and drinks. Water provided for pups. In Five Points.

Cantina 76 Devine Street :: Patio dining for you and your pup. Conveniently located on Devine St in Shandon.

Thirsty Fellow :: Dogs are welcome on their outdoor patio. Outstanding pizzas. Located near the UofSC campus and Colonial Life Arena.

Hunter Gatherer at the Hangar :: There are four outdoor tables where your pup will be welcomed. Large yard for walking.

River Rat Brewery :: Large outdoor deck area with tables. Pups welcome. Food and drink served.

Jake’s on Devine :: Five Points bar and grill has large patio where dogs and humans get along. Yappy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Columbia Craft :: New outdoor beer garden offers seating for both peeps and pups. Food truck onsite everyday.

Steel Hands Brewery :: These folks love dogs and allow them in any of their outdoor areas (however only well-behaved service trained dogs are allowed inside since they serve food with a full restaurant on site.)

J’s Corner :: Near the Fairgrounds and William Brice Stadium, this burger joint has a great outside dining area and they provide water bowls for the dog in your life.

  1. You forgot the awesome patio at J’s Corner near the fairground and Williams Brice stadium – dogs are provided water bowls with water from their very own sink
