Belle Glos Tastemaker Dinner :: April 4

Experience a Ruth’s TasteMaker wine dinner featuring some of California’s most distinctive Pinots from Belle Glos, perfectly paired with five courses of culinary delight. A product of Joe Wagner’s winemaking legacy of excellence, Belle Glos is known for its passionate dedication to producing the most elegant expressions of California Pinot Noir.  Join us for this evening of food, wine and fun that celebrates vintages from some of the most noteworthy American coastal vineyards.  If you love Pinot (and who doesn’t?) then this is the wine event for you! The Table at Adams Pond :: Thursday April 4

The Table features a locally curated and handcrafted menu from Southern Way’s chef, Michael Stuckey, with a big menu of wonderful items including a cocktail hour with Tempura Lobster and Gruyere & Beer Mustard Mousse plus four courses that include She Crab Soup, a Dry-Rubbed Aged Ribeye and Cheesecake with Caramel Glaze and Pecans. Midlands Food Swappers :: Saturday April 6

A food swap is part silent auction/part village marketplace/part fun-loving open house where your homemade, homegrown, and foraged creations become your own personal currency for use in swapping with other participants. Tartan Day South :: Saturday April 6

Beyond a fun day planned with an amazing roster of activities, displays and entertainment, the Food and Drink offered is of particular interest at Tartan Day South. A Scotch Whiskey Seminar program will be offered (limited tickets available at $20 ea.) at 3 different times in the afternoon (maybe they never heard of skalk – a casual glass of whisky in the morning!) and traditional Celtic food vendors who will offer a solid selection of British and Scottish mainstays. It’s All About Herbs Festival :: April 6

It’s time for the 8th Annual Herb Festival supporting the Herb Bunch of Lexington County’s Scholarship Fund. Admission is Free. There will be a plant sale; silent auction; bake sale; and education booth. Learn about growing your own herbs for seasoning your dishes. Food/craft vendors.

Pups & Pints :: April 7

Pups & Pints – benefitting Homeward Bound Pet Rescue – South Carolina. This event is a great opportunity for you to sign up to volunteer with HBPR or be foster parents to puppers who need your help! They may even bring a few of their pups for you to meet and consider making a part of your family! Bring in any item(s) on their wish list (click here) and Swamp Cabbage will take a $1 off your pints. You will also be able to purchase special shirts for this event and a portion of the sales will go HBPR. SO JOIN THEM AND DRINK FOR A GOOD CAUSE. Columbia International Festival :: Sat. & Sun. April 6 & 7

Walk through the doors of Columbia International Festival, held annually at the SC State Fairgrounds, and your sense of smell is instantly trying to identify the wonderful aromas wafting from the Food Vendor area. You’ll soon discover amazing dishes from the countries of Bangladesh, China, France, Ghana, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, the Phillipines, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Ukraine and Venezuela! Sunset Dinner Cruise for $39 :: Tuesday April 9

Angry Fish Brewing Co. Beer Dinner :: Wednes. April 10

Join Angry Fish Brewing Company for a great evening of food and fun as they host their first beer dinner. Serving five different beers with four pairings over the course of the evening. Red o’ Morn, an amber ale infused with coffee, apple, pear, caramel, toffee and bourbon notes, will be tapped for an exclusive release that night. It will be the paired with the main course – a grilled, espresso-rubbed lamb tenderloin with roasted sweet potatoes and charred brussels sprouts. Midlands Plant & Flower Festival :: April 11 – 14

Purchase your young vegetable plants at the festival

A vast selection of colorful spring flowers and plants will cover the landscape, including vegetable plants. The festival is also a great place to get other useful products and helpful information on many topics of interest to gardeners and consumers. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and provide free gardening advice during the festival. South Carolina Certified products will be available for purchase in addition to many other must-have items for the home and garden. A variety of food vendors with yummy treats will also be available to satisfy hungry appetites. Admission is free.

Adult Easter Egg Hunt :: April 13

Who says egg hunts are just for kids? Not the folks at Clinton Sease Farms in Lexington! First Ever Everplay Grilled Cheese Festival :: April 13

BBQ & Blues :: Saturday April 13, 2019

BBQ & Blues is back at Lexington’s Icehouse Amphitheater featuring Blues Hall of Famer Mac Arnold & Plate Full O Blues.  Along with the great music, there will be free samples of BBQ from local restaurants. Flavored Fork Goes Greek :: Tuesday April 16

This cooking demonstration by the Flavored Fork explores some tasty recipes and tips for creating Greek cuisine at home, using Classy Cruet olive oils and vinegars. Game and Garden: Spring Feast :: April 25

History & BBQ Cruise :: Saturday April 27

Bring your family and friends aboard the Spirit of Lake Murray for a history cruise with full lunch provided.  Enjoy the beautiful waters of Lake Murray as you learn all about the history which fills the lake. Before Lake Murray was created there were schools, churches, bridges, & whole communities.  Much of which is still below the water today. 5th Annual South Carolina Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival will be held on the SC State Fairgrounds with 27 food trucks in attendance and 24 craft breweries represented. Tickets here.

Augusta Craft Beer Festival :: Saturday April 27

Head to North Augusta, SC for the 4th Annual Augusta Craft Beer Festival. Featuring 40+ hand-selected local, regional, and national breweries. There will certainly be something for everyone. ACBF is conveniently located at the brand new SRP Park – Home of the Augusta GreenJackets, providing an atmosphere unlike any other beer festival! Chicken Wing Cook-off :: Sunday April 28

A family friendly event with everyone’s favorite finger food. Come participate in Ashley’s Yummy Tummy’s 1st Annual Chicken Wing Cookoff at the Jamil Temple. Local chefs will serve a secret wing sauce, with attendees voting on Best Sauce. Your ticket entitles you to unlimited chicken wing tastings and one vote. Sample sizes. Columbia Food & Wine Festival :: Sunday April 28

The Columbia Food and Wine Festival shows off our area’s restaurants, wineries and breweries at this annual event. The festival will be held from 1pm – 4pm on Saluda Avenue in Columbia’s Five Points village. The ticketed event ($65-$100 per person) will feature tastings from over 50 local restaurants, a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, local artisans, farmers, musicians and more.

Kugels + Collards at the Historic City Market :: Monday April 29

This unique dinner aims to examine the relationship between Jewish and Southern cuisine. The evening will consist of a four-course dinner prepared by two Jewish chefs, and two chefs who specialize in Southern Cuisine.

Lexington Wine Walk :: Saturday May 11

The Lexington Wine Walk is a fun community event that benefits the Lexington Beautification Foundation. It features exhibitors, merchants, and food, and of course, wine! Ticket price includes a complimentary wine glass,  hors d’oeuvres, wine tastings, and live music. More info here.

Veterans’ Harvest Dinner 2019:: Tuesday May 14

The Veterans’ Harvest Dinner is a dinner for veterans, prepared by veterans. This special dinner features a four-course meal, beer, and wine. Tickets can be purchased here, but Veterans may attend for free. Reserve your seat! Tickets will sell quickly.

Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ Festival :: Saturday May 18

The nationally-loved festival is about to introduce itself to the Soda City! It’s going to be an amazing day filled with Beer, Bourbon, Barbeque, Boots, Bacon, Biscuits, Bluegrass and Smoked Beasts! Enjoy the Southeast’s largest Rosé Festival in it’s fourth year. Drink Pink Rosé is dedicated to great wine, delicious food and music from one of the greatest in Columbia’s jazz scene, Mark Rapp Jazz band. All of this fun takes place at the historic Robert Mills House & Gardens.

Brewer’s Brunch :: Sunday May 26
