Five Points’ 31st Annual Chili Cook-Off

The Five Points Chili Cook-Off is held each fall, where teams battle it out for Columbia’s best chili! Enjoy over 30 awesome chilis, live music, children’s area, craft beers, cornhole, and more! A Food Truck Rodeo will feature regional trucks with delicious, non-chili offerings. More here.

Korean Fall Festival

Saturday, November 3

The Korean Festival will feature dance and music performances, from centuries past to modern K-Pop.  There will be wonderful cultural exhibits and children’s games and of course, incredible Korean cuisine! Korean favorites like kimchi, kimbap, and bulgogi are available as well as Korean ice cream and desserts! Devine Night Out

Devine Night Out is Columbia’s PREMIER holiday event! More than 50 stores and restaurants on Devine Street in Columbia will welcome guests from 5 – 8 p.m. for an evening of shopping, socializing and festive cheer. The celebrations continue from 8 – 10 p.m. with a fabulous FREE After Party at Henry’s, featuring live entertainment and complimentary food and beverages. Bubbie’s Jewish Food Extravaganza

Kosher prepared foods will include favorites like Brisket, corned beef sandwiches, tzimmes, matzah ball soup, falafel, stuffed cabbage, sweet & sour meatballs, kugel, knishes, kasha varnishkes, Israeli salad, baba ganoush, hummus and vegetarian chopped liver.  Bubbie said not to forget our homemade pickles, challah, rugelach, and mandel bread.  There will be many other baked goods awaiting you at Beth Shalom and silent auction items to bid on. Many of the desserts and dishes will be great for your guests at Thanksgiving & Chanukah! South Carolina Oyster Festival

The 22nd annual South Carolina Oyster Festival will take place on the grounds of Robert Mills and Hampton-Preston from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Steamed oysters will be for sale by the bucket and brought to you by PEARLZ Oyster Bar. You’ll also be able to enjoy oyster shooters, fried oysters, and oyster gumbo! All of these delicious dishes will be available for purchase once inside the festival. If oysters are not your thing, choose from several other food vendors and ice cold beer for sale. Bring your chairs, your blankets, your oyster knives, and your appetite! More here.

Black Friday Crab Boil & Stout Oyster Shooter Event!

Swamp Cabbage Brewery will hold the Crab Boil and Stout Oyster Shooter event the day after Thanksgiving, starting at 3 pm. After all that turkey and shopping, why not change it up a little and join Swamp Cabbage under their  pergola with your friends and family! All you can eat tickets cost $40. It’s also going to be a Stout Out, with five taps featuring different variations of Swamp Cabbage stout, while the other five taps will have your regular favorites. In addition, there will be Stout Oyster Shooters for $3, burgers & brats available for purchase, $1 Off pints (if you are partaking in the all you can eat menu), and boxes (one crab cluster/some shrimp/sausage/potato/corn) for $15 Per box. Country Christmas Celebration

The 2018 Country Christmas Celebration will take place at the South Carolina State Farmers Market on Sunday, November 25. From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., enjoy a winter wonderland as you shop for the perfect Christmas tree for the holidays.
