It has been announced that Charleston’s premier steakhouse, Halls Chophouse, has purchased Columbia’s The Oak Table restaurant, and plans to open in that space on October 15, 2018. Family-owned and operated Halls Chophouse is part of the Hall Management Group, which owns several popular, well established eateries in Charleston and Greenville. Halls in Charleston offers lunch, dinner and brunch menus, all filled with a wide variety of classic steakhouse dishes, fresh, local and innovative seafood entrees, succulent sides and of course, prime steaks.

New “Q” alert! Charleston-based Home Team BBQ is adding to its growing roster of restaurants with a brand new Columbia outpost, to be housed in the old Harper’s Restaurant location in Five Points this winter. Home Team has been featured on TV and in several magazines, and is the recipient of many “Best of” awards. Their menu features a mix of traditional BBQ, ribs, turkey, chicken and pulled pork, as well as salads, sandwiches, tacos, and sides. There are some surprising treats as well; Pork and Chicken Cracklins, Spicy Boiled Peanuts, and Organic Scottish Salmon.
